Three dead in Kansas Jewish community center shootings

A 70-year-old man killed three people, including a 14-year-old boy and his grandfather, during a shooting rampage at a Jewish center outside Kansas City, Kansas, the US.

The shootings occurred at the Jewish Community Campus at Overland Park and a nearby assisted living center, Village Shalom.

Police has taken a bearded white man in his 70s into custody.

According to the BBC, the three people were killed in the car park of the Jewish Community Campus. They were both Christian.

President Barack Obama called the shootings 'heartbreaking' and pledged the full support of the federal government.

The man appeared to shout 'Heil Hitler' from the back of a police car.

The attack took place just before the Jewish festival of Passover.
