Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has reportedly extended his contract and will now stay at the top Premier League club until 2018.
Howard's previous deal has been extended by two years, ensuring he will remain at Goodison Park at least until the age of 39, as a reward for another strong season which has seen the United States international produce a series of outstanding performances.
According to Sport24, Everton manager Roberto Martinez hailed the contract extension, saying that he believes Howard is one of the best goalkeepers in the league given his performance this season.
Martinez further said that Howard is also a strong leader with a positive personality and demeanour in the dressing room, adding that with the World Cup around the corner, Howard's decision to commit his long-term future is an incredible moment for the club.
Everton is in fifth place, one point behind Arsenal in the race for a top-four finish, the report added.
