Tomar meets Nagaland CM, assures support on mining exploration

Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang called on Union Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Saturday to discuss issues pertaining to development of the state.

During the interaction, Tomar assured full support towards the exploration of minerals in Nagaland so that the full potential of identified mineral resources could be harnessed in a time-bound manner.

He also shared details of his recent visit to Meghalaya and Assam with Zeliang, and said he would plan a visit to Nagaland soon.

He conveyed that the development of states in north east India was high on the Centre's list of priorities.

Zeliang shared his plans for value-addition projects in Nagaland.
