The 'Survivor' actor Roger Rees has passed away at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
Talking about the tragic incident, actor and director Samuel West tweeted, "woke to the sad news of Roger Rees's death" and posted the actor's pictures from his high-profile stage roles, reported the Guardian.
Sir Patrick Stewart also tweeted, "Brilliant actor, dear friend and colleague, witty, kind, private man. A space is left that cannot be filled."
The Tony award winner, who breathed his last on July 10, has starred in several shows, including 'Singles', 'Cheers', 'Boston Common' and 'The West Wing,'
Rees, who is survived by his husband Rick Elice, also appeared on a few episodes of 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'the Warehouse 13.
