Chief commanding officer of banned militant outfit National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was nabbed by the Kerala Police in Kozhikode district late Monday night.
The millitant, identified as Dinga Elias Libyan Pasumathari, had been on the run for some time now.
Pasumathari had been staying underground at Kakkodimukku area in Kozhikode for the last one month after an encounter with security forces in Assam.
Police nabbed Pasumathari on Monday night following a tip-off. According to media reports, Pasumathari was under police surveillance for the last few days.
He will be handed over to Assam police after preliminary questioning by Kerala police.
