Robert Young's former band mates Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes have paid tribute to the deceased star.
In a heartfelt statement, Gillespie, who had founded the hit indie band 'Primal Scream' with Young, and Innes said that the guitarist was "an irreplaceable talent, much admired amongst his peers" and they have lost their comrade and "brother" who was a "beautiful and deeply soulful man", the Mirror reported.
Beady Eye's Andy Bell, the Charlatans singer Tim Burgess, former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and author Irvine Welsh also paid tribute to the musician on Twitter.
Young, who had split from the band in 2006 to deal with what Gillespie claimed was "problems in his personal life", was recently found dead on September 9 in his flat in Hove, near Brighton.
