A college student in California has posted a Craigslist ad for substitute parents for 8 dollars an hour.
Jackie Turner, who was abused as a child and belongs to a broken home, wrote that she will pay a substitute mom and dad to make her feel like "the light of their life" and fill that void that not having a family left, in the post which has since been deleted, the New York Daily News reported.
According to News10, Turner was sexually, emotionally and physically abused as a child and had escaped from her biological parents, and lived on the streets, fighting, doing drugs.
Several families have contacted her offering to take her in for free and she has even received responses from people with similar stories of traumatic childhoods.
