Art lovers can now head towards an art exhibition, titled 'On The Edge of The City,' organized by the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi, where they can take part in the commemoration of Turkey's National Day and the 100th birth anniversary renowned Turkish novelist Orhan Kemal.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated by Turkish Ambassador Burak Akcapar, Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, showcases the award-winning artist Serdar Leblebici's exclusive collection of 32 paintings inspired by Kemal's novel 'Cemile.'

Through the oil paintings on canvas, Leblebici has brought to life the challenging life struggle in Cukurova during the 1930s in the Turkish Republic established by Kemal Ataturk.

Speaking at the event, Akacapar said, "The exhibition is a celebration of human artist ingenuity and Leblebici has built bridges across times and cultures to attain universality of message, form, light and colour."

Akacapar added that since, Leblebici's hometown, Izmir, is already a growing destination for thousands of Indians, they are pleased to collaborate with Art Spice Gallery in hosting the event as collaborating art events help build ties and enhance their connections with India, another country known for its rich heritage.

Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Brazil, Belgium, Botswana, Costa Rica, Gambia, The Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Tajikistan, Yemen, the High Commissioners of Malta and Pakistan and the Charge d'Affaires Zimbabwe were also present.
