A Turkish television host has been fired after the ruling government criticized her outfit for being 'extreme' and 'unacceptable'.

The Justice and Development Party said the government doesn't normally interferes in anybody's matters, but the dress worn by Gozde Kansu could not be accepted, News.com.au reports.

Kansu was dismissed from the private ATV television with the explanation that it did not find her way of presentation in line with the Veliaht show.

However, Kansu said her dismissal was more because of political reason and not related to her performance.
