Social media website, Twitter's annual growth rate is expected to drop again in 2014, though number of users may rise.
According to CNET, Twitter will keep adding more users over the next few years; however, growth rates will continue to sink.
It is predicted that Twitter's user base will increase by 24.4 percent this year, reaching 227 million this year; however, Twitter announced that it had reached 255 million monthly users which dwarfs the earlier predictions.
CEO Dick Costolo said that the site has trouble retaining users and the company's first earnings report since going public revealed a fall in quarterly user growth as the company was planning some major initiatives.
