At least two people were killed and 18 injured reportedly after an LPG gas cylinder went off in a house in Mandi Ahmedgarh village, 25 km from here on the Ludhiana-Malerkotla highway, on Tuesday.
The injured have been shifted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital here, where the condition of three people is stated to be serious.
The victims have been identified as Satya Devi (70) and Balwinder Kaur (45).
The incident took place around 1.15pm when an LPG cylinder went off due to some unknown reason, killing Satya Devi, house owner, and her neighbour Balwinder Kaur.
Balwinder Kaur was standing outside her house when the blast took place.
