Two NDFB (S) militants held in Assam

Two militants of the banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit) were arrested by security forces from the Mushalpur area in the Baksa district of Assam.

The police said that both of them confessed to have been involved in extortion activities in the Mushalpur sub-division.

Earlier on May 8, a NDFB (S) militant was killed in an encounter with security forces, who busted a camp with explosives of the insurgent outfit in lower Assam's Kokrajhar district, while another one was apprehended in a different incident.
