A new study has suggested that 66 percent of couples celebrate their anniversary by having sex.
The survey by the sex toy firm Lovehoney shows that for 36 percent of couples, "anniversary" is the day that they married, while a fifth treats it as the first time they met or went on a date.
The study further shows that 22 percent of them believe their big day is when they both agreed they were in a relationship for one in 25 couples, their anniversary is something more physical, like, the first kiss or the first time they had sex.
It found that 68 percent of couples "always" have sex on their anniversary, compared to 32 percent who don't always make the effort and for 89 percent of couples their anniversary is very important to them.
