Allahabad Police on Wednesday baton charged students protesting against the leak of question papers of the preliminary examination of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (UPPCS) 2015.
Scores of youth gathered in front of the headquarters of UP Public Service Commission, which conducts the exams, shouted slogans and demanded the suspension of its chairman.

Superintendent of Police (SP), Arun Kumar Pandey, said the students were not allowed to hold any protest near the headquarters of UP Public Service Commission.

"We have enough number of police deployed here. There is no permission to hold any kind of protest near the Commission. The boys have been told about it. A few of them came, but were sent back. Whosoever tries to spread anarchy will be arrested," said Pandey.

The first paper of the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (UPPCS) 2015 preliminary examinations was leaked in Lucknow. The police found that the question paper of general studies subject was uploaded on WhatsApp, an instant mobile messaging app.

The authorities have cancelled the examination, but the students have been protesting across the state since the paper leak.
