A military plane carrying five crew members crashed near Savannah in Unites States' Georgia, on Wednesday.
The Georgia Air National Guard spokesman termed the accident as a deadly crash, reported CNN.
"There were airmen on the plane who were deceased, but we're not giving out any numbers at this time," Master Sgt. Roger Parsons said.
No further details have been shared until more information about the identities of passengers was known.
President Donald Trump took to Twitter to urge all to pray for the victims and their families, "I have been briefed on the U.S. C-130 "Hercules" cargo plane from the Puerto Rico National Guard that crashed near Savannah Hilton Head International Airport. Please join me in thoughts and prayers for the victims, their families and the great men and women of the National Guard."
The US Air Force said that the aircraft, Air National Guard WC-130 from the 156th Airlift Wing in Puerto Rico was on a training mission en route to Arizona when the crash took place.
The cause of the crash has not been reported yet.
Firefighters rushed to the site to douse the fire.
