With Diwali right around the corner, tragedy struck inVaghodia tehsil in Vadodara, Gujarat where eight people were killed in an inferno at a fire-cracker shop on Friday.
Several people were injured in the incident were rushed to the hospital for immediate attention.
The police team and fire tenders were immediately on the spot to neutralise the situation.
This is the second massive tragedy in the run up to the festival of lights, as last week at least nine people were killed and dozens injured after a massive fire engulfed a firecracker factory and godown in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi town.
