The Naxal affected village of Samsadih of Gaya district got electricity post 68 years of Independence after CRPF's 159th battalion set up solar panel in the area.

"This village had no electricity, and the CRPF has set up solar panel. This is a naxal affected village and we aim to foster peoples' hope in CRPF and police forces," CRPF personnel told ANI.

"This village didn't had electricity. The CRPF has installed solar panel here which would provide electricity to families living in the villages. They have given radios and school bags to families. This is praiseworthy step which would help the people in the village in long run," Qayaz Khan, a resident said.

The CRPF personnel also distributed radios and school bags among the villagers.
