Vine has released an update that will make its iOS app faster when starting up and will enable it to work offline.

Vine users will be able to download videos even when the app is closed, reported The Verge.

The update is aimed at ensuring that videos are ready to go as soon as you open the app, even if you don't have an internet connection.

Videos will preload from your main feed and from Vine's explore section. The process will consume more of your data however; it will affect you only if you're a regular user.

The update will also introduce a smaller video size for people on slower connections.

Vine plans to bring the update to Android soon.
