Launching a tirade against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Saturday said he and activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan were expelled from the party because of the former's stubbornness.
"When I heard this for the first time, I did not even feel that he was serious. Has Arvind ji forgotten that we did not leave the party, we were expelled, we were chased away....That too because of Arvind Kejriwal's stubbornness," Yadav told ANI.
"We were sacked because we had raised questions on party' principles. We had said that party was moving in a wrong direction...We are still committed to same values which we had embraced in Jantar Mantar," he added.
AAP leader Mayank Gandhi had earlier in the day said that Yadav and Bhushan must set aside their egos and rejoin the party for betterment of the nation.
His remark came after Kejriwal stated that he would be happy if the duo come back to the party fold.
