Wearing pants two inches below natural waist that exposes underwear or bare buttocks is a crime in Ocala and could land one in jail, according to a new ordeal passed in the city.
One could face up to a 500dollars fine and six months in jail for the wearing low sagging pants.
Councilwoman Mary Rich said that it did not matter what color they were as they all wore their pants down.
City Attorney Patrick Gilligan said that if they did not comply, the chief will tell police officers to take their phone and they were not looking to charge people, out and take a picture.
Howard Gunn, who was a teacher in Marion County for 22 years, told the council that most of these kids they were dealing with were ones that had probably been in jail or were going to jail and a lot of times kids were going through things and they slap this on them, they were going to go further.
