Arsenal football team manager Arsene Wenger has conceded that there is nobody capable of challenging current Premier League leaders Chelsea at the moment, after he watched his side blow another lead and lose 2-1 to Swansea City.
The Arsenal boss waved the white flag on his side's title hopes after defeat at Swansea left them 12 points behind Jose Mourinho's pacesetters.
Wenger admitted that at the moment Chelsea is on course to get an average of 100 points this season. He agreed that if Chelsea keeps that up nobody would catch them, that's for sure, before admitting that there doesn't look to be anybody capable to challenge them at the moment, The Mirror reported.
Arsenal went ahead yesterday through red-hot Alexis Sanchez but their nightmare week, they blew a three goal lead to Anderlecht in the Champions League, was completed after Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bafetimbi Gomis fired Swansea to victory.
Wenger said that they have had a very disappointing week considering the performances his side produced and the end result they got.
Wenger is very disappointed by the result, and said that they were 3-0 up against Anderlecht and 1-0 up against Swansea and in the end they lose two points against Anderlecht and three points on Sunday.
He admitted that one has to be capable, once they are 1-0 up and a big team, of winning the game.
Wenger said that he does not know how damaging it is, but admitted that for their league position it's very disappointing. He said that they had an opportunity to come back into the top four in a bit more of a comfortable way and it is unfortunate that they didn't take it.
