After his side made an exit from the Champions League, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Barcelona, admitting that their extraordinary forward line-up of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have the ability to transform normal life into art.
Arsenal, which were trailing 0-2 from the first leg, were knocked out of the Europe's biggest championship after suffering a 1-5 defeat on aggregate at the hands of defending champions Barcelona.
Mohamed El Neny was the lone scorer for the Emirates Stadium club at Camp Nou.
"From nothing they can create a chance. You must admire art. They have two or three players with the ability to transform normal life into art. Of course for me it is suffering as well but it is exceptional what Messi does," the Frenchman was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Talking about his side's performance, Wenger said that he was extremely disappointed with the result, but admitted that the quality of their performance showed that their season was not yet over.
"I'm pleased with the performance. The quality of our game was good. The performance shows our season is not over," he added.
Wenger, however, called on his side to look at the positives and negatives of the game and shift their focus on preparing for the next match.
Earlier, Arsenal also crashed out of the FA Cup after suffering a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Watford at home.
Arsenal's hopes of clinching silverware this season seem to be fading fast as they are currently 11 points behind leaders Leicester City at the top of the Premier League.
