The latest fad in office design could be gym memberships, specialty coffee machines and office chill-out zones but what a worker needs is far more simpler.

A recent survey of over 1000 Australian employees by workplace website Job Advisor asked people about how they felt they were treated by their employers.

The study found that nearly 15 percent said that their company was a bunch of 'control freaks,' with another 12 percent feeling that their company took all the credit for good deeds, News.com.au reported.

Around 11 percent said that backstabbing was rife in their office place, while 8 percent said that finger pointing and 'put-down artists' were commonplace in their workplaces.

35 percent of respondents said that they had a good relationship with their employer and called them 'respectful and wise' to work for.

14 percent employees said that they felt empowered to make their own decisions and over 10 percent said that they trusted their employer and could follow them anywhere.
