Zimbabwe coach Dav Whatmore has lavished praise on a revitalized Indian bowling line-up, stating that their revival in form made the defending champions one of the strong contenders for the World Cup title.

Whatmore, who coached Sri Lanka to the World Cup title in 1996, said that India is a team that is bowling the opposition out frequently and that has been a big plus for them, the Dawn reported.

Whatmore further said that India's batting talent has never really been in question, adding that what was needed was a good strong bowling performance and they have done that.

India will next meet Zimbabwe in their final Pool B match against Zimbabwe on March 14 in Auckland.
