When 'pirate' Johnny Depp went off the Caribbean for Disneyland

Looks like, this is the day Disneylanders will always remember as the day they almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!

Disneyland's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' had ride inspired a global phenomenon and launched a highly popular film series and now, before the U.S. release of the fifth installment in the franchise, 'Dead Men Tell No Tales,' Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at the place where it all began.

Dressed as his character Jack Sparrow, the 53-year-old actor surprised dozens of riders by popping up in several places of the ride in Disneyland, California.

In the videos posted on Twitter, the 'Alice in Wonderland' star can be seen repeating lines from the movie while also interacting with parkgoers as he held onto his sword.

"Just saw #johnnydepp at Disney land! SO AMAZING AHH," tweeted an excited visitor. Another wrote, "Johnny Depp Is filming on the pirates ride in Disney land!!!! Crazy!!!!!!"

One surprised guest wrote, "Sick RT @ItsMandizzle: Johnny Depp spent his day at Disneyland surprising guests on Pirates. I could die," while another said, "Life is complete! Just saw Johnny Depp on Pirates of the Caribbean @Disneyland !! #PiratesoftheCaribbean."

The movie 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' will hit the theatres globally on May 29, 2017.
