'Hello' director Xavier Dolan has revealed as to why Britain pop star Adele is using a flip phone in her new music video.
In conversation with People Magazine, Dolan said that it made him uncomfortable filming iPhones because he felt like he was shooting an iPhone commercial, adding that the same thing stood for flashy cars.
The 26-year-old director said that they (iPhones and expensive cars) were distracting, adding that they hurt the piece's sensibility and reality.
The Canadian director also revealed that he was initially nervous to sign on when Adele approached him to do the video.
The Oscar-winning Brit singer's 'Hello' was released on 23 October 2015 from her upcoming third studio album, '25,' and broke the sales record on the first day.
