Second seed and French Open champion Rafael Nadal on Thursday reached the third round of the Wimbledon Championship after defeating Lukas Rosol of Czech Republic 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, 6-4.
The Czech player, who had defeated Nadal in Wimbledon in 2012, took the first set and looked all set to repeat his feat again. But the Spaniard came back and took the next set to tie breaker before winning it.
Nadal will next face Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan in the third round.
Meanwhile, 13th seeded Richard Gasquet lost to Australian Nick Kyrgios 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 5-7, 8-10.
