Wozniacki, Radwanska march on to Australian Open third round

Golf ace Rory McIlroy's Danish girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki and Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska have progressed to the third round of the Australian Open amid the extreme heat conditions.

The official Australian Open site reports that former world number one Wozniacki beat American Christina McHale 6-0 1-6 6-2 in the Rod Laver Arena on Thursday under the closed roof due to extreme heat within 103 minutes and set up a third round clash with Spain's Garbine Muguruza.

Meanwhile, Radwanska beat Belarussian player Olga Govortsova 6-0, 7-5 to progress to the third round in the tournament.
