Leading companies in the Indian online travel space Yatra.com has announced the launch of app integration with Uber, the world's largest on-demand smart mobility app to make road travel hassle free for its customers.

Through this one of its kind integration, Uber will make it possible for customers of Yatra.com to book their local and intra-city transport directly through the Yatra app.

Yatra.com has been a market leader and the first in its category to provide services of value to its customers that go beyond the traditional offerings of an online travel agency. Today by integrating Uber API, Yatra.com has taken another step forward in providing its customers with comprehensive travel solutions and a seamless travel experience.

The customer can now book Uber directly from Yatra app (both on iOS and Android), even if the Uber app is not installed on their devices.

"At Yatra, we are constantly thinking of new and innovative ideas to make travel convenient and hassle free for our customers. Our partnership with Uber, a global leader in smart mobility, is a first in the Industry and will help us take the next step in servicing our customers and providing them with solutions to all their travel requirements," said Co-founder and CIO Yatra.com, Manish Amin.

"We have been working with app developers from around the world to enable innovative API integrations that will create an additional avenue for other customer obsessed companies like ours, to enhance customer loyalty, offer intuitive end to end customer experience and gather intelligence for customized offerings. Our partnership with Yatra.com, a first of its kind Uber API integration in India, is a small but significant step in this direction," said President of Business, Asia, Uber India, Eric Alexander.

Customers can book their Uber ride on Yatra App under Cabs/Rides section. Existing Uber users can use their account while making their bookings on the Yatra App. This would require one time account linking. New users can directly sign up for Uber from the Yatra App itself even if they don't have the Uber app downloaded on their device.
