Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the detention of ex-Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav and several others, saying the act of detention was the violation of their fundamental rights.
According to reports, the High Court is likely to hear this petition later today.
The ex-AAP leader was arrested by the Delhi Police after being detained during a farmers' protest at Jantar Mantar last night.
Yadav was trying to march towards the Prime Minister's official 7 Race Course Road residence, and has alleged that he was "brutally assaulted".
