Compare: Mahindra KUV100 vs Grand i10 vs Swift vs Figo

Mahindra and Mahindra has launched KUV100 in the country at a price of Rs 4.42 lacs (Ex-Showroom, Pune). Mahindra KUV100 is India’s first micro SUV and also introduces a new segment. Though it doesn’t have any direct competitors but considering the prices, we are putting it against the B-segment hatches like Maruti Suzuki Swift, second generation Ford Figo and Hyundai Grand i10. 

Speaking of the features, KUV100 comes with an option to seat 6 passengers with seatbelts in all the 6 seats. The infotainment system comes with Bluetooth connectivity, Aux-in and USB along with compatibility with Mahindra's Blue Sense App. It has a six-speaker system. Additionally, it also comes with things like cooled glovebox, LED cabin and mood lights, puddle lamps on all four doors, etc. Moreover, it comes with Mahindra’s micro hybrid tech featuring engine start-stop for both the engines while the diesel also comes with driving modes - ECO (Economy) and PWR (Power).  

In terms of safety, KUV100 comes with standard ABS with EBD, while dual-front airbags are optional across all variants. It also offers segment-first ISOFIX at rear for the child seat and panic braking hazard lights. Speaking of the competitors, Maruti Suzuki Swift also offers optional dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD across all the variants. Hyundai Grand i10, on the other hand only offers airbags and ABS on the top end variant. Ford Figo trumps all in this comparison with top end variant offering segment-first 6-airbags, while driver airbag is standard across the lineup and dual-airbags come standard except for the base version. The ABS with EBD is offered in the last two variants, while the automatic petrol variant also comes with ESC, TC and Hill-Launch Assist.
