Land rover will be launching the Discovery Sport today. Its only a matter of few hours for the prices to be revealed. The all new luxury off-roader is a CKD-routed car and therefore is expected to be reasonably priced. It will be competing against cars like Mercedes Benz M Class, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.
This prime SUV will impress with its spacious interiors that, unlike its competition, come with third row seating option (5+2). Also, the car has premium interiors upholstered with fine leather and bestowed with the legendary Terrain Response System and a touchscreen media navigation unit.
When it comes to looks, JLR has made sure that the typical Land Rover essence is kept intact with a high nose stance, along with the signature LED daytime-running lamps, topped off by the clamshell bonnet.
Powering the car will be a 2.2 litre diesel motor that is tuned to produce 150 PS of power along with 400 Nm of peak torque at 1750 rpms. Transmission duties will be done by an advanced 9 speed automatic gearbox that will enable this behemoth SUV to sprint from 0-100 in just 10.3 seconds.
