Ford India in its latest directive yesterday announced that its current head of Global Marketing, Sales and Service Operations Vinay Piparsania has been promoted as Director at Ford Global Business Services.

On the eve of this announcement, Nigel Harris, President, Ford India said, “The leadership changes showcase how the in-house talent pool at Ford is being leveraged to plan for sustained growth.”

A short brief, Ford Global Business Services (GBS) division is basically a support centre for each and every Ford facility around the word in specific area of Engineering, IT, Automotive Financing, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Sales and Service, Purchasing and Analytics. Thus Vinay would be now based out of Chennai heading the operations.

In yet another major move, the American auto major has shifted Anurag Mehrotra from being Vice President, Sales at Ford India to now Executive Director Marketing, Sales and Service. Filling in for Vinay, Anurag earlier was the Vice President Sales wherein he was responsible for growing the company's sales network in the country. In his new endeavour, he would be responsible for all aspects of MS&S including sales volume, market share, revenue, marketing strategy and launches, dealer development and after sales service.

Vinay Raina who was previously at the post of General Manager, Product Marketing will now become Vice President Sales Ford India taking over from Anurag Mehrotra. The new role would entail him to lead sales operations at Ford India along with sales planning, programming and fleet sales.

The following appointments as stated by Ford India would be effective from the 1st of October 2014.
