GirnarSoft ropes in LetsIntern.com co-founder Mayank Batheja

GirnarSoft, the parent company to India’s top auto portals such as CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com and Zigwheels.com, has appointed Mayank Batheja as Associate Vice President, Car Owners’ business. In his new role, he will be responsible for planning and implementing new initiatives for CarDekho.com’s Car Owners’ vertical. Mayank was previously a part of the management team of eyewear portal Lenskart where he led its home eye checkup division.

A commerce graduate from Delhi University, Mayank has held leadership positions in various startups as well as established companies. He co-founded LetsIntern.com which was acquired by Aspiring Minds, an online skills assessment company. During early days of his work life, he was associated AIESEC for the India leadership team and has also worked with Alcatel-Lucent as transformation manager - North West Central Africa Region.

Speaking on the announcement, Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO, GirnarSoft, said, “We are excited to welcome Mayank aboard. We have earlier launched services related to auto insurance, roadside assistance, accessory shopping and tyres to provide solutions to ease car ownership. With his appointment, we are adding another valuable and vital resource that will power our drive for greater scale in this division.”

CarDekho.com has scaled the car owners division organically and through acquisition and tie-ups. Recently, it acquired Help on Wheels to provide high quality roadside assistance service and has tied up with CoverFox to provide insurance to car owners. 

Mayank joins a long list of entrepreneurs in GirnarSoft. Some of the other entrepreneurs appointed by the company include Umesh Hora, founder of The Mind Cafe India, who joined as CFO; Abhishek Shah, co-founder of Fetise.com and Dealsandyou.com, who leads BikeDekho; and Amit Monga, founder of Fitrrati and eSportsBuy.com, who is Deputy Director- CarDekho.com Auctions.
