The highly appreciated Ford EcoSport SUV has won J.D. Power Asia Pacific’s 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) award. The coveted trophy was picked up by Ford India’s Nigel Harris, President and Managing Director and Raj Sarkar, Vice President Marketing. The SUV picked up the initial quality survey by registering the least problems against all the competition, as stated by global research agency. The EcoSport is already a winner of multiple awards, and the latest one adds to company’s commitment in providing good quality, affordable and reliable products to its customer.
This extensive 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) takes from 8,429 vehicle owners who bought new car dated between November 2013 and July 2014. This includes 73 models from 17 brands and was conducted between May 2014 and September 2014 across 30 cities. “At Ford, we value the trust shown by our customers and are proud to have surpassed their expectations with Ford EcoSport receiving the coveted Initial Quality Study 2014 recognition by J.D. Power Asia Pacific,” said Nigel Harris, President and Managing Director, Ford India. “With new products on the horizon and a new world class manufacturing facility operational in Sanand, we are focused on continuing to provide Indian customer outstanding quality and peace of mind associated with a Ford.”
Running in its successful 18th year of service, this research measures problems owners experience with their new vehicle during the first two to six months of ownership and examines more than 200 problem symptoms covering eight vehicle categories: engines and transmissions; vehicle exterior; driving experience; heating, ventilation and air-conditioning; features, controls and displays; vehicle interior; seats; and audio, entertainment and navigation.
