Korean carmaker Hyundai that launched the Verna Fluidic a couple of years back, is now testing a facelift version of the car. Known as the 'Rena' in China, the production ready model of the car is expected to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, China next month, while the launch will take place by the end of this year.

Our friends at auto.163.com has managed to click the pictures of the car in China during its test mule, which however was camouflaged, some prominent changes are clearly visible. In terms of exterior design, the facelifted Verna gets new bumpers, revised headlights and a bigger and new grille, making it an even more aggressive looking car. Although no interior pictures were clicked, we can expect some minor changes inside the cabin as well.

Ever since Hyundai India launched the Verna fluidic in 2011, it is selling the car like hot cakes, due to its sporty and aggressive look and features it caters to the buyers. Now refreshing the car at a time when the competition is getting aggressive, seems a pretty good idea to keep the sales momentum going.Since it's a mid-life facelift, we expect the car to retain the same 1.4-litre petrol, 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine options.

This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for more updates on the same. Cheers!
