Maruti Suzuki Ciaz revealed!

Maruti reveals the first studio shots of its new mid-size sedan – Ciaz. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will compete against new Honda City, updated Hyundai Verna, 2014 Ford Fiesta, 2014 Fiat Linea, 2014 Nissan Sunny, Renault Scala, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid. All you need to know about Maruti Ciaz

• Ciaz comes with four variants, namely, V, V+, Z, Z+; for petrol it will be VXI, VXI+, ZXI & ZXI+ while the diesel would feature 'D' instead of 'X'. It also offers seven color options.
• On the outside, Ciaz comes with projector headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels on the top-end trims (Z+) while other gets 15-inch alloys.
• On dimensions front, Ciaz gets large 2650mm of wheelbase, 4490mm of length, width of 1730mm & 1485mm of height.
• On the inside, it gets a dual tone dashboard finish in black and beige along with faux premium dark wood finish having silver accents. Dash get Suzuki's 'SmartPlay' touch screen infotainment system with mobile phone integration, built-in Sat-Navigation and it also doubles up as reverse parking camera. The system also posses voice recognition for navigation and mobile phone controls for calling function. Other connectivity options include, USB, AUX-in and Bluetooth (for audio streaming and calls).
• Audio system is powered by four speaker system and two tweeters.
• Ciaz gets an automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
• Instrumentation cluster is a similar Suzuki territory while it gets a new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel.
• The Z+ gets leather upholstery and leather wrapped steering wheel.
• The car gets key-less entry, a push-button engine start-stop.
• Ciaz gets a 510 liters of boot space.

Safety

• ABS and EBD starts from V+ trims along with the driver airbag while the Z trims add passenger airbag making it dual front airbags.

Engine

• Ciaz Petrol: Ciaz gets a 1.4 liter K10B petrol motor that powers Ertiga; the engine belts out 91.18bhp and 130Nm of torque. This comes with an option of five speed manual gearbox and four-speed automatic gearbox. The fuel efficiency of petrol is 20.73km/l.
• Ciaz Diesel: Ciaz gets a 1.3 liter Fiat sourced Multijet diesel dubbed as DDiS, the motor belts out 89bhp and 200Nm of torque and is mated to a five speed manual. The fuel efficiency of diesel is 26.3km/l.
