Mclaren unveils 675LT Spider, Details Inside

Mclaren has unveiled its 675LT Spider. The car joins the longtail legacy and is only the second model to wear the LT badge. This latest model comes 20 years after the previous one. Another key characteristic of any Longtail is exclusivity, and the 675LT Spider is no exception as with the Coupé, production of the 675LT Spider will be strictly limited to only 500 units, starting deliveries in summer 2016. The 675LT Spider is priced at £285,450 (INR 2.88 crores approx.) and is the fifth model by McLaren Automotive in 2015. This latest model joins the McLaren P1 GTR, 570S Coupé, 540C Coupé, and 675LT Coupé in the Super Series range.

Mechanically, this Brit carries a revised 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 powertrain from the coupé sibling. The power output and torque figures remain unchanged, with 666 bhp and 700Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-100kmh takes just 2.9 seconds, and 200kmh is achieved in 8.1 seconds. Also the top speed is 326km/h. The 675LT Spider is only 40kg heavier than the Coupé, all due to the retractable roof system.
