American auto major General Motors has displayed the new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The vehicle was first unveiled at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show. The model will not go on sale in the Indian car market; showcased only to attract the visitors at the GM stall.
The new Camaro gets modified bumpers, revamped grille and a new head and tail lights. The front fascia of the car feature a wider lower grille and a narrower upper grille, while the functional bonnet vent helps to reduce hear and aerodynamic lift. The rear profile of the Camaro gets horizontal maps, a diffuser and sculptural deck lid. It also sports a spoiler with integral antenna. It also comes equipped with a new MyLink infotainment system integrated with a seven-inch touch display and Bluetooth AUX/USB support.
Under the hood, the new Camaro has a 6.2-litre V8 engine, which is coupled to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The manual version of the car churns out a maximum power output of 432bhp and delivers a hefty torque of 569Nm. It sprints to 100kmph from zero in mere 5.2 seconds. The new Camaro feature remote keyless entry as standard.
