CarDekho has been constantly updating you about Skoda's upcoming premium sedan new Octavia. Now, it is confirmed that new Octavia will soon going to make its return to India, as the company has teased the sedan on its official Facebook page, saying "The Legend is Coming Back". Media reports suggest that Skoda will unveil or launch the new Octavia on August 9, but we expect it to hit the Indian shores by the festive season (Dushera, Diwali).
The Czech automaker has used the VW's new MQB platform to develop the all-new Octavia, which is now big in dimensions than the Laura. We earlier reported that Skoda will launch new Octavia in October, and will phase out the company's flagship sedan Laura. The vehicle now sports more upmarket upholstery and interiors, and with increase in dimensions, it now offers more comfortable for both front and rear passengers.
Skoda has also considered the safety measures, as the new Octavia will get number of advanced safety features like nine airbags, automatic braking system, lane assistance and others. Adaptive cruise control, intelligent light assistance, traffic sign recognition are few of the features which makes it an excellent product for buyers.
The new Skoda Octavia will get the 1.8-litre petrol engine and the 2.0-litre diesel motor. The Czech automaker could also launch the 1.4-litre petrol turbo mill that also does duty in the Volkswagen's Jetta, however it would be for the base model. It is also speculated that the company might also introduce the automatic version of the vehicle.
