Maruti Suzuki has released the official images of the upcoming next-gen Alto K10. It will be the second product to sport an AMT – Automated Manual Transmission after its popular sibling Celerio. The new Alto K10 is set to launch next month and Maruti has already started taking bookings of the same with an amount of Rs. 10,000. The new hatch will certainly replace the aging ongoing Alto K10's decade old design.
Speaking of the design, Maruti seems to have given uniformity in the Alto family, the new Alto K10 seems to be carved out of Alto 800 and it is very much visible from sides and rear profile. Having said that, the next-gen Alto K10 features a fresh new face which distinguishes it from the 800. Adding to it, the hatch features sleeker grille, swept back headlamps and new ORVMs. On the inside , the new dashboard is a massive lift over compared to what we get in the current car. There's a new steering wheel on-board along with a 2-din audio system and instrumentation cluster.
The new Alto has carried forward the 1.0 liter K10 petrol motor, the engine belts out 67.1bhp and 90Nm of max torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission along with an AMT - Automated Manual Transmission similar to the Celerio. Now, what has changed is the mileage. The new Alto K10 comes with an ARAI certified mileage of 24.07km/l for both manual and AMT. The hatch will also be offered with a CNG variant with an efficiency rating of 32.36 km/kg.
