Nissan India has registered its highest ever domestic sales in FY2014-15 with 47,474 units sold. The company registered a growth of 24.2% over FY2013-14 when it sold 38,220 units, thus becoming one of the top gainers in the industry in terms of growth rate.

Guillaume Sicard, President – Nissan India Operations said, “We are pleased with the progress we demonstrated in our 10th year in India. FY 14 has been a significant year when we re-established our India business with an independent sales and marketing organization. The growth we achieved was supported by the launch of 2 new models and fastest growing network. As we set ourselves a target of 5% market share by FY20, we are focused on sustaining and accelerating our performance.”

Arun Malhotra, Managing Director – Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, added, “2014 saw a huge focus on sales and marketing activities. Our sales network grew to 176 outlets with 60 outlets added in FY14. We also launched a host of innovative integrated campaigns to bring our vehicles closer to our customers,” he added.

Nissan India’s retail presence increased 61% growth in FY14. The company offers 7 models on sale from two brands, Nissan and Datsun, across 6 segments. Nissan will continue investing in India to further embed our company within the market across R&D, Manufacturing and Sales.
