Renault India unveiled its much awaited Lodgy MPV at the 2015 Star Guild Awards, where its brand ambassador Anil Kapoor unveiled the MPV along with Mr. Sumit Sawhney, MD and CEO, Renault India. Mr. Sawhney presented the keys to Superstar Hrithik Roshan and thus, he becomes the first owner of Renault Lodgy in India. At the same event last year, company unveiled 2014 Koleos ahead of its launch at Auto Expo and presented the car to Salman Khan.

The event was attended by celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Gulshan Grover, Priyanka Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Ritesh Deshmukh, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan. Along with Lodgy, Renault Duster was also featured at the award night, Alia Bhatt gave a sizzling performance with the car, while Bollywood celebrities like Deepika, Priyanka, Shahid signed a Duster AWD and posed next to the SUV.

Renault Lodgy is a trendy looking MPV and offers comfortable seating for 7 passengers. The dashboard is borrowed from the Duster with subtle changes; the instrumentation cluster is similar to that of recently launched Duster AWD. The higher variants will also come with a touchscreen infotainment system- 'Media Nav'. The system sports a seven-inch touch screen that offers auxiliary inputs along with Bluetooth phone and satellite navigation.

Lodgy will be available in India with Renault’s 1.5-liter K9K turbo diesel and 1.6-litre petrol, which powers the Duster. In Duster, the engine is available in 85 PS and 110 PS versions but the MPV is likely to get the 110PS version. The 110PS belts out, 108 bhp of max power and 248 Nm of peak torque. Diesel will be mated to a five speed manual transmission. We expect the price of Renault Lodgy to be in and around Rs. 8 lacs, right in the middle between the likes of Ertiga, Mobilio and Enjoy on one side and Innova, Xylo on the other.
