Australia stocks rise for the sixth day in a row

Australian share market closed marginal higher on Thursday, 21 August 2014, extending winning streak for sixth consecutive session, as gain in technology, telecom, energy and realty stocks were more than offset by losses in consumer goods, retailers, and materials stocks. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 Index and the broader All Ordinaries Index each rose by 0.1% to 5638.90 points and 5634 points, respectively.
