Biocon leads gainers on BSE's 'A' group

Jubilant Life Sciences, Videocon Industries, Indraprastha Gas and Mindtree are among the other gainers in the BSE's 'A' group today, 4 December 2017.

Biocon surged 12.06% at Rs 500.40 at 13:45 IST after Mylan N.V. and Biocon announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved Mylans Ogivri (trastuzumabdkst), a biosimilar to Herceptin (trastuzumab), co-developed with Biocon. The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 1 December 2017. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 15.12 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 4.17 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

Jubilant Life Sciences spurted 6.41% at Rs 736.95. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.48 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 66,000 shares in the past two weeks.

Videocon Industries jumped 4.97% at Rs 16.90. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 6.46 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 5.73 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

Indraprastha Gas climbed 3.99% at Rs 329.90. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 2.03 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.07 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

Mindtree rose 3.69% at Rs 550. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 45,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 46,000 shares in the past two weeks.
