Cholamandalam Investment falls after bulk deal

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company fell 1.39% to Rs 608 at 14:09 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 7.77 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 605.10 per share at 11:49 IST on the BSE today, 16 October 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 15.43 points or 0.06% at 27,025.57

On BSE, so far 8.84 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 16,015 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 629.65 and a low of Rs 589.55 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 739 on 7 July 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 433.70 on 9 December 2014.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 156.10 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

On a consolidated basis, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company's net profit rose 16.2% to Rs 111.10 crore on 13.2% growth in total income to Rs 990.63 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company is the financial services arm of the Murugappa Group. The company commenced business as an equipment financing company and has today emerged as a comprehensive financial services provider offering vehicle finance, home loans, home equity loans, SME loans, investment advisory services, stock broking and a variety of other financial services to customers.
