CMC net profit rises 183.54% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales rise 1.22% to Rs 338.83 crore

Net profit of CMC rose 183.54% to Rs 130.74 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 46.11 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales rose 1.22% to Rs 338.83 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 334.75 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net profit rose 63.13% to Rs 323.61 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 198.38 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales rose 5.94% to Rs 1189.79 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 1123.13 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
