Cyient rose 2.35% to Rs 572.50 at 10:48 IST on BSE after the company said it has opened global Internet of Things-enabled tower operations center in Hyderabad.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 21 December 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 4.30 points, or 0.01% to 33,781.68.
On the BSE, 7,160 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 7,465 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 577 and a low of Rs 559.35 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 605.25 on 7 December 2017. Cyient announced the opening of its global Tower Operations Center (TOC) at the company's headquarters in Hyderabad, India. The Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled TOC provides 24/7 surveillance and remotely monitors all passive assets in cell towers across multiple locations. Its solution architecture enables communication between sensors and an integrated, cloud-based analytics engine to extract and analyze asset data for actionable insights. This results in increased tower uptime, reduced operational costs, improved site security and intrusion detection, and ensures efficient energy and power management. Additionally, integrating trouble ticketing, along with field force management, will improve the efficiency of field operations and optimize asset utilization.
On a consolidated basis, Cyient's net profit rose 28.9% to Rs 109.70 crore on 6.86% rise in net sales to Rs 965.40 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q1 June 2017.
Cyient provides engineering, manufacturing, geospatial, network and operations management services to global industry leaders.
