Cyient slumps after block deals

Cyient fell 7.42% to Rs 485.50 at 14:07 IST on BSE on reports that about 1.35 crore shares, or 12% equity, change hands in two block deals on the NSE.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 275.35 points, or 0.87% to 31,324.41.

On the BSE, 2.20 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 4,652 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 532 and a low of Rs 477 so far during the day.

On a consolidated basis, net profit of Cyient rose 16.58% to Rs 85.10 crore on 8.76% increase in net sales to Rs 903.40 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2017.

Cyient provides engineering, manufacturing, geospatial, network and operations management services to global industry leaders.
