Air traffic up 9.1% to 609.43 lakh in January-November 2014
The passenger carried by domestic airlines surged 14.4% to 58.74 lakhs in November 2014 over 51.37 lakhs carried in November 2013.In January-November 2014, the domestic passenger traffic has improved 9.1% to 609.43 lakh compared with 558.4 lakh in January-November 2013.
IndiGo carried 19.60 lakh passengers, followed by Jet Airways with 10.81 lakh, Air India with 10.27 lakh passengers in November 2014. SpiceJet passenger traffic stood at 8.76 lakh, while GoAir carried 5.29 lakh passengers in November 2014. Jet Lite flew 2.72 lakh passengers, while newer AirAsia India and Air Costa carried 0.60 and 0.61 lakh passengers, respectively in November 2014.
